ANANYA PREM SWAROOPA ANIRUDDHA

OM MANASAMARTHYADATA SHRI ANIRUDDHAY NAMAHA

This is our SADGURUSIDDHA TARAK MANTRA. There is no need to make this MANTRA SIDDHA like other MANTRAS because this MANTRA itself is SWAYAMSIDDHA and SAHAJSIDDHA because the BAPU, ANIRUDDHA HIMSELF is SWAYAMSIDDHA and SAHAJSIDDHA. Otherwise any other MANTRA is of no use without its SIDDHI has been performed.

But since this MANTRA is easily available to us we don’t feel its importance. We know the final aim of this human birth is DEVOTION (BHAKTI) and hence we make efforts to follow this PATH of BHAKTI.

Our NANDAI, SACCHIDANANDA SHAKTI of BAPU takes our care like a mother who takes care of her child learning to walk for the first time.

We always think that why this MANASAMRTHYA is required or why only BAPU can give us that? As we all know that the greatest SAMARTHYA or STRENGTH is of LOVE in this universe. The power of LOVE is very great amongst all evil, bad or good powers of different types. Today disastrous powers are topping the world. Love and Strength (Samarthya) both are one and the same. We can’t gain Samarthya without love. There may be many great powers in the world but the power of LOVE is greatest of all.

When there was nothing in this universe Theory of Singularity or BIG BANG Theory says from one point these ANANT KOTI BRAHMANDA had been created. The same concept in our SPIRITUALISM language says that the first POINT is KRISHNATATVA and RADHA TATVA was separated from HIM. Our BAPU ANIRUDDHA is that PARAM PREMAMYI KRISHNATATVA and our NANADAI is RADHATATVA who is SACCHIDANANDA SHAKTI. So RADHA is called as AADIAACHARYA and SHESH SHAKTI (DAU SUCHITDA) is AADISHESH.

Whatever thing happens in this world is because the same is WISH of SHRIHARI and RADHA’S wish is only SHRIHARI and SHRIHARI’S WISH is RADHA.

Due to strength and power of LOVE a mother can give birth to her child and due to this SAMARTHYA of LOVE my birth, welfare and death is possible.

Just after birth of a new born baby first food is mother’s milk. This mother’s milk is very easy to digest for a child when nothing can be digested. Even however weak is that new born child he can digest that milk. Mother takes care till time child doesn’t become independent. In early childhood she teaches you to speak, learn and walk. Thus mother’s love is ANIRUDDHA that no body can resist and oppose. A mother bears toughest delivery pain due to this ANIRUDDHA LOVE for her child. See even when little child passes stool or urine when he is in mother’s lap, mother never beats him. When a child is sick , he wants his mother should be present nearby him, so that he can hug her, he can hold her hand. This touch of mother gives SAMARTHYA of SAMIPYA (Closeness) Similarly a devotee likes BAPU’S SAMIPYA and sings

MERE SAVALE ANIRUDDHA , MERE PYARE ANIRUDDHA

TERE BINA MAI JEE NAHI SAKTA

O BAPU! MERA HATH PAKADANA.

Because that devotee always knows that

TERE DWAR JO AAYA KHALI HATH NA JAYEGA

TERI KRUPA SE NASH HOGA MERE EK EK SANKAT KA

See even mother is suffering from however high fever and her child becomes sick with fever she will get up and serve to her child first , neglecting her own health.

Some person may say that the greatest power of SAMARTHYA lies in MONEY, TONGUE, POWER or SIDDHI. VISHWAMITRA, DURVASA and SHATANIK had also misunderstood this thing. But finally they also repented that they can’t not do any thing without SAMARTHYA of LOVE.

In SUNDARKAND HANUMANT says

RAMNAM BINU GIRA NASOHA- that tongue does not have beauty if it doesn’t chant RAM NAM. The mouth which doesn’t utter RAM NAM should be considered as a hole of snake.

YOGIDADA said that even Ravan , Kansa and Shishupal were having SAMARTHYA and POWER but that become SHAP (cursing) for them as there was no LOVE for HIM. LOVE always gives you a BOON. The love for SHRI HARI”S CHARAN is BOON of LOVE only.

Think that if a mother who gives birth to a child has this much love than what will be love of that VISHWA MAULI ANIRUDDHA who has given birth to the entire Universe.

Our BAPU is ANANYAPREMSWAROOPA.ANANYAPREMSWAROOPA SHAKTI of the universe has incarnated in form of our BAPU. Love is not a thing of give and take nature, that has to be experienced. LOVE is ANUBHAVGAMYA. My BAPU is PREMGAMYA. HE is the only

ANANYAPREMSWAROOPA.

SHRIVITTHAL – 9th INCARNATION was standing with 2 hands on HIS waist. See, HE has no weapons or SHASTRA in HIS hands because HIS greatest SHASTRA and ASTRA is LOVE. Today this VITTHAL BHAGVAN has incarnated in ANIRUDDHA ROOPA.

We have seen that when our BAPU dances we feel like every ANU and RENU , every atom of this world is dancing. Hence PIPADA says-

DEV DHAVAT AALE ETHE , OOAS PADALI SWARG NAGARI…

My BHAGVAN ANIRUDDHA is ANANYAPREMSWAROOPA , no one can love like HIM. No other LOVE can be compared with HIS LOVE.

However every one can be PAPI or PUNYAVAN , BAPU never discriminate between devotees. ANIRUDDHA is our DATA (DONOR) and no one with return back empty handed from HIS door.

ANIRUDDHA TERE DWAR JO AAYA KHALI HATH NA JAYEGA …..

YOGIDADA told that mother’s milk is never available in market or departmental stores at any rate. Similarly BAPU’S LOVE , SADGURU’S LOVE can’t be made available at any where. HE looks after us with HIS KOORMADRUSHTI (tortoise look), means though we are far way from HIM , HE takes all our care. However bad or evil we are BAPU’S Love has no limits for any one. BAPU’S love is not only for human beings , but HE equally loves all living beings which we have learnt from story of cows at GOVIDYAPEETHAM and Parrot sitting on AUDUMBAR tree at HAPPY HOME.

PREMTATVA is nothing but ANIRUDDHATATVA.BAPU has abundant LOVE as HE is the only one who can give MANASAMRTHYA also. This SAMARTHYA of MAN is nothing but ANANYAPREM. See for a child his mother is his mother only. Similarly for us our BAPU’S LOVE is greatest of all. Only BAPU’S LOVE is capable of providing all necessary things for us as HIS LOVE is POORNA SAKSHAMA.

Our MIND is filled with past and future worries and tensions. To experience HIS divine LOVE we should live in PRESENT first. Our MIND always opposes PARMESHWARI LOVE to enter. Mind resists RADHA TATVA to enter in our life. We are always entangled in CONDITIONS and COMPLAINTS. The flow of HIS LOVE can enter in our mind only when these CONDITIONS and COMPLAINTS are not present.

We always argue or complain about out our PAST and put CONDITIONS for our FUTURE. We don’t hesitate to put CONDITIONS even before GOD. We have to give up these 2 things to allow HIS LOVE to enter our life.

There are no CONDITIONS and COMPLAINTS in LOVE. ANIRUDDHA’S LOVE is UNCONDITIONAL. HE never puts any CONDITIONS and COMPLAINTS to us. BAPU always say that HE is our FRIEND. See, BAPU never keeps CONDITIONS and COMPLAINTS. At 12 o’clock in night, we call HIM, at any time of day and night we call HIM. But BAPU never gives us excuses, HE always runs to help us. So we should not give excuses in doing HIS SEVA and BHAKTI

To accept HIS LOVE, we have to also give up our CONDITIONS and COMPLAINTS.

See there are 3 forms of water- water , ICE and STEAM but we require water only to satisfy our thirst. Similarly BAPU, ANIRUDDHA and SAVALA are HIS 3 forms but we require only BAPU – HIS SAGUN and SAKAR form to feel our thirst. Today BAPU is amongst us and PIPADADA teaches us PIPASA for HIM

We have experienced that BAPU”S DRUSHTI, HIS WALK, HIS TALK, HIS SMILE and every thing of HIM gives us MANASAMARTHYA. So we have to ask only for ANIRUDDHA and HIS ANANYASWAROOPA LOVE. BAPU we have come to your door and we are sure that we will not go with empty hands. Duryodhan has asked HIS army but still he destroyed. If we want to save ourselves from KALCHAKRA coming in future then we have to only ask for ANIRUDDHA and HIS ANANYPREMSWAROOPA.

HARI OM

Quotes of our dear Sadguru

Here are some of the quotes of our dear Sadguru, given especially for newcomers -

1. We do things like, education, entertainment, money-earning activities at the young age, but the more essential and topmost activity like, The Almighty Parmeshwar's bhakti, we label it as the old-age activity & discard it. Is it proper?

2. In human mind, a subtle play of imagination, observation & decision is always on. But that imagination which is based on concrete observation and the decision arrived at accordingly is always the winner. It helps us to catch up with the time.

3. I could see this world because of my mother, hence for me, my mother is greater than this world. Likewise, Naamsmaran (Chanting of Parmeshwar's name & constantly remembering Him every moment) leads us to Parmeshwar, hence Parmeshwar's Naamsmaran is considered as greater than the Parmeshwar Himself.

4. If you want to tackle two of your greatest enemies - fear and worry - Sadguru Krupa is the only way to do it.

5. Where limit of human intellect ends, Parmeshwari intellect (Mahapradnya) reigns.

6. We are always told that there are four purusharthas (unavoidable duties of a human being) - dharma (always acting righteously), artha (earning money from righteous means), kaam (fulfilling all our righteous desires) and moksha (ultimate liberation).

But there is a fifth purushartha also - bhakti. If we do bhakti, we easily get the first four purusharthas.

7. If I don't get what I want, I always start questioning the God. But had I ever questioned Him, when He gave me something more than I deserved?

8. All our ancient religious rites, rituals, upsasanas have a solid backing of our Rishis' soul-serching thinking process. Hence, if we perform any rite or ritual or upasana after understanding the logic behind it, it will be more fruitful.

9. Bhaktimarg is always widely perceived something as a process followed when we have nothing left to do in the old age. Hence, we are always shy to follow it in the young age. But the truth is otherwise. If we follow bhaktimarg giving topmost importance to satya, prem and anand at young age itself, our whole life will be glorious.

10. That ultimate and eternal alll-encompassing Parmeshwari power is always ready to continuously strengthen us. But the question is, 'Are we yet ready to accept that Sadguru Krupa?'

11. Just as Shiva's Shakti is Parvati, Vishnu's Shakti is Laxmi, likewise Sadguru's Shakti is His Word, His Aadnya. Knowing fully well what is proper for His bhakta, It is always uttered for our good. We dare not disobey it.

(Bapu sometimes tells a story of Sadguru Swami Samartha of Akkalkot regarding this - 11th point. Once the husband of a staunch lady devotee of Swami was having severe stomach ache. All possible remedies were tried, but in vain. She wanted him to come to seek Swami's blessings but he did not have the faith. Helpless, he finally agreed and came for Swami's Darshan. Swami told him a peculier remedy, 'Go and collect the dung excreted by the elephant of the king of Akkalkot and eat it. It will do you good.' The lady had unflinching faith in Swami. She immediately went and collected the elephant dung and brought it to her husband. He got angry and admonished her. He then proceeded to try other worldly remedies, like doctors and sorcerers, but again in vain. Ultimately, he agreed to follow Swami's advice and ate the dung. But this remedy further aggravated his agony. So, he came back to Swami to demand an explanation. Seeing him, Swami got angry and started calling him names. Then, Swami told his wife, 'Since you are involved, I atleast allowed him to stand here. If he had followed my remedy WHEN I TOLD HIM, he would have been cured then and there only.' The man learnt from his mistake and apologised. Later, gradually, he was relieved of his agony.

Here, remedy was not important. What was important, was the word of Sadguru. When something is told by the Sadguru, however peculier and absurd it may sound, it should be followed earnestly and without doubts, since the order carries Sadguru's full blessings and strength with it.

This story is given in The Panchsheel Practical Book (The Complete Life Science) of Sai Satcharita Panchasheel Exams Syllabus, which tells us the connection between science and spirituality, beautifully explained with the help of scientifice experiments, which we otherwise performed only for the sake of marks in the school.)

Aniruddha Samarpan Pathak Cleaniness Pathak

Cleanliness can be of three types - Physical, Mental and Intellectual. All these three types can be achieved on two levels, i.e. Personal & Social

Physical -
Personal - Personal Cleanliness (of body, etc.)
Social - Cleanliness of Environment (vicinity), temples, hospitals, etc.

Mental -
Personal - De-Addiction, Eradication of misbeliefs
Social - same as personal.

Intellectual -
Personal - Devotion, Reading good literature
Social - Mass prayers, adult literacy (proudh saksharata), essay competitions, drawing competitions, imbibing good culture on child.

Same case with Hygiene. 3 types - Physical, Mental & Intellectual. And they also can be achieved on two levels - Personal & Social.

Physical -
Personal - Balanced Diet, Exercise
Social - Proper cleaning of fruit/vegetables, preventing diseases, controlling stray dogs, controlling sound and atmospheric pollution.

Mental -
Personal - Controlling Mental Disorder, Individual prayers, etc.
Social - ill-effects of media on health/mind, ill-company.

Intellectual -
Personal - Removing ignorance, instilling discipline, propagating messages throu' entertainment
Social - Removing poverty.

We have to fight on all these fronts to achieve the desired results."
The gist of the pamphlet he distributed thereafter is as follows -

"Cleanliness is one of the essential conditions of sound health. Dirt is an enemy of health. Therefore, we must wage a continuous war against this enemy & keep it away.

However, in today's hectic life, we knowingly or unknowingly neglect the importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene. Keeping this in mind, 'Cleanliness & Hygiene Group' of Sadguru Samarpan Pathak wishes to implement following programmes with peoples' active co-operation.

1. Cleanliness and Public Awareness

2. De-addiction

3. Child Development and Adult Education

4. Importance of Tulsi (Sacred basil)and Dhoop

Considering the health of people in individual localities, preference is given to Cleanliness & Public Awareness Programme.

We solicit your support for the following -

1. Avoid spitting at public places. Through our spit, germs spread in the atmosphere. This is one of the major causes of epidermic diseases like, Tuberculosis (T.B.).

2. Collect all garbage-waste food, fruit skins, waste paper, plastic, etc. in the dustbin and empty it in the nearest public dustbin.

Cleanliness of public toilets

We must flush the toilet with plenty of water after use. Negligance to do so can invite health problems. Germs like hook worms enter in small intestine of children through their delicate skin.

Cleanliness of washbasins and bathrooms

We must be very particular about the cleanliness of wash basins, bathrooms & toilets. These are the places where dirt gathers easily and thus provide a breeding ground for the micro organisms.

We should also use disinfectants like phenyl to make it germ free.

Cleanliness - on the neighbourhood front

Personal cleanliness & clean surroundings go hand in hand. As our home or building is surrounded by other homes or buildings, the condition at this neighbourhood is bound to affect our health. Therefore, our fight against dirt & disease germs must be extended to our surroundings.

So never throw rubbish of any kind like fruit skins, egg shells, waste paper, plastic bags, etc. outside our homes. Collect it in the dustbin & empty it into the public waste-bin.

Importance of "Dhoop"

In order to maintain good health, it is important to light "Dhoop". The benefits of lighting Dhoop are as follows -

1. God is pleased.
2. The surroundings become pleasant & this affects the mind, concentration increases.
3. Curtails the growth of mosquitoes.
4. The growth of germs is under check.

Importance of Tulsi

1. The air (upto a distance of 20 ft. approx.) gets purified due to the Tulsi plant.

2. The fragrance of farina particles of Tulsi purifies the mind & the heart, feeling of depression vanishes.

3. Spiritual & devotional subjects get the positive vibrations & negative vibrations vanish.

4. The juice of Tulasi leaves has medicinal value.

5. While cooking rice, put atleast 2 leaves, due to which the germs in the rice & also in our body gets killed.

For Healthy Life....

It is rightly said that "Health is Wealth". To have a happy, fulfilling healthy life, following is necessary -

1. A Well-Balanced Diet - Everyone should have a nutritious diet. A nutritious diet means a proper inclusion of those food items which have a high value as food. In our everyday diet, there must be a proper inclusion of milk & milk products (like, butter, butter milk, ghee & curd), pulses, vegetables & fruits. Milk is a wholesome food for all. These food items contains vitamins which protect our body from diseases & keep us healthy.

2. Avoid eating too much of sweet or too much of spicy food as it can lead to indigestion.

3. Avoid overeating. One should eat to live, not live to eat.

4. Items of vegetables & fruits must be thoroughly cleaned and washed with plenty of water before cooking so that all dust, dirt and chemical particles are removed.

5. To protect ourselves from waterborne diseases like, jaundice, gastro, diarrhea, etc. make sure that the water we drink is safe and free from micro-organisms. Always drink boiled water.

6. Avoid intake of tobacco and tobacco products like, cigarrettes, bidis, pan masala, gutkha, etc.

7. Wash your hands, feet & face after you enter home. Develop clean eating habits. Wash your hands properly before & after eating. Cut your nails regularly.

Importance of Exercise

Our body is a source of experiencing all material things in the world. Therefore, in order to keep our body fit & healthy, exercise is must for both men and women. If it is not possible to do physical exercise due to age or health condition, in that case walking is a good exercise. However, one must walk for the sake of walking at least 15 to 20 minutes a day either in the morning or in the evening. An exercise of walking not only keeps our body fit but also helps to create / have a balance between our mind & brain. This improves our thinking ability & ability to take proper decisions.

In short, make exercise a part of our daily routine.

Cleanliness, health & happiness go hand in hand. A neat & clean house as well as surrounding will certainly bring a sea change in our lives.

Therefore, a need of the day is a constant and conscious efforts in this direction.

We all from "Sadguru Samarpan Pathak", solicite your support to make your place, a better place to live in & thereby transforming our dream "Beautiful Bharat, Aniruddha Bharat" into reality."

This gives an insight on what Bapu want to do and expects from us. War does not necessarily mean war between two countries or two groups. The war can also be against unseen enemy (which is inside us only, like our bad habits, our laziness, etc.) as explained above. So let's start implementation. Start from yourself, on personal level.
That's all, folks!

Similarly current scenario’s description is explained through this editorial.Among them the remarkable editorials are The Third World War and India’s glorious historical epic Sunderkand.

Out of these Third World War editorials, a book named “The Third World War” is gifted to the readers. After the Mumbai Terror Attack, readers gave a great response to Dr.Aniruddha Joshi’s editorials.

They showed their participation [or support] by wearing black band on their wrist, wearing white band stating “May Pakistan Be Destroyed” or “Attack Pakistan” on their foreheads and wrists, sending mails to Political Leaders showing their support towards the idea of declaring war against Pakistan. Also on a spiritual level reciting of the “Ghorkashtadharanstotra” for the Indian Soldiers was done by the readers.

When all the newspapers were busy in the Political Gossips, Pratyaksha’s different movement against all this issue assured each and every reader of Pratyaksha of a True Friend who is fighting for their betterment.

And that’s why every reader awaits their True Friend because the aim of the Editorials of Pratyaksha is their reader’s overall development.

Today the world is crawling towards the Third World War but at the same time, the common man is facing several wars in his day to day life! Sometimes fighting against his blood related relatives sometimes corrupt political officials! Sometimes against the recession! Sometimes natural disaster sometimes manmade disasters! In all this only the common man is crushed!

Then may this war be against global warming or may it be against terrorism.

In Pratyaksha’s Editorial, readers are guided on how to face this crisis with confidence and what is our role in this War-time.

Mi Aniruddha Ahe !!

MANDHARDEV SEVA 2009

About Mandherdevi Temple :

Kalubai Mandhar Temple is located at Mandradev in Satara District in Maharashtra and is dedicated to Kaleshwari Devi. On the full moon day in Paush month (January – February), a major festival takes place here and is attended by thousands of devotees. Kaleshwari Devi is an incarnation of Goddess Shakti and is a hugely popular deity in this region of Maharashtra. In 2009, Kalubai Mandhar Temple Paush Purnima Festival is on January 10 and 11th.

Kalubai Mandhar Temple is located atop a mountain – 1200 m high.

On Paush Purnima more than 200,000 people gather at the temple. Devotees offer green colored saree to Kaleshwari Devi on the day.

Kalubai Mandhar Temple is about 18 km from Wai and 120 km south of Mumbai.

Mandhardev is one of the challenging AADM sevas starting on 9th Jan and will extend till 12th Jan 2009. DMVs across state are participating in this seva. From Mumbai as usual 100 DMVs are participating where as from Pune around 60, Nashik region 50 and Konkan region 50 DMVs are participating.

Organizing committee member Arvindsinh Natu along with Steering Committee members Harinakshasinh Shetty and Kishorsinh Narvekar are coordinating seva this year.

Why are we Here…?

The most tragic fact about the stampede at the Mandhardevi temple at Wai in Maharashtra's Satara district on January 25 was that it was at once avoidable and inevitable. For the three-lakh devotees nothing mattered - not the steepness of the climb to the temple, the narrow entrance, or the small size of the temple compound. They were many more than the usual number for the doubly auspicious full moon day because it was a Tuesday, a rare combination. By the time the police officer in charge realised, close to noon and the auspicious hour, that the sea of humanity was swelling fast and asked for more policemen it was too late. Thirty men arrived but the situation had gone out of control.

In the space of a couple of hours an estimated 300 people died and property worth lakhs was burnt. Instead of a line of enthusiastic devotees winding their way up the hill, all that was visible was a giant head of fire. Rescue teams that arrived from Pune, 200 km away, could see the fire from miles afar but it took them four hours to negotiate the 12-km ghat road to reach the site atop a 1,200-metre-high hill. There they were faced with treacherously slippery steps, burning stalls, mangled bodies and the prospect of an occasional gas cylinder bursting.

Doctors at the rural and mission hospitals in Wai said that judging by the expression on the faces of most of the dead persons, death seemed to have been instantaneous. It was an important indicator for the investigators as it showed the rapidity with which things happened.

From the death toll to the possible cause, came under dispute. The authorities say 251 people died - 157 women, 88 men, five boys and a girl - while the local people say the toll is much higher and that the bereaved took away bodies to avoid paperwork with the authorities.

Disaster in front of an EYE WITNESS :à Eyewitness accounts of the tragedy vary. The most plausible sequence of events suggests that some devotees slipped on a mix of water from broken coconuts and blood from sacrificed goats, and that triggered panic and a stampede. Packed beyond capacity in a compound, people struggled to find a way out and surged towards the two openings of the compound, one of which had been earmarked for entry and the other for exit. The 30 or so policemen on duty inside were powerless to do anything.

Haribhau Shinde, was witness to the Kalubai temple stampede in which over 300 people are being feared crushed to death.

He had set up his prasad stall as usual on the slope that leads to the temple on the top of a hillock. But around 1 pm, there was a commotion. He looked up to see there was chaos on the slope that led out of the temple, barricaded with bamboo poles on two sides. In 10 minutes, it was over. Then we only saw dead bodies. There were so many. I frantically searched for my brother and sister-in-law. My brother was lying unconscious. We brought him to the hospital.

After the stampede, some people lost their cool and set shops on fire, he added. Most of the shops on the temple ground and the approach road were burnt and razed. Slow smoke rises from them even 36 hours later.

Though the bodies that piled up at the entrance to the temple have been cleared the official toll is 258 a torn sari, a blood-smeared pair of trousers or an odd chappal lie about. The festival has come to a grinding halt. Most of the victims in the stampede local people have strong faith in devi s power to grant wishes were people like Haribhau and Prakash, poor people from Satara and nearby areas like Pune and Konkan, who came every year for the devi darshan as part of the Mandhardevi yatra that culminates in a 10-day festival at the temple.

After the incident, there are indications that the district police will press many more men into duty next year. But how can a few policemen prevent a flood of human bodies asked an official

This is the reason We Were Here

AADM Project Vermiculture

Vermiculture

Dr. Aniruddha Dhairyadhar Joshi lovingly called by His followers Shree Aniruddha Bapu is M.D.,a medical professional who has by His sheer pure love for His followers whom He refers to as His dear friends, changed their way of life inculcating in them the values of Bhakti and Seva. A perfect family person,P.P.Aniruddha Bapu through His conduct communicates that it is very much possible to beautifully blend our family, social and spiritual life .Spirituality is not escaping from the worldly pleasures and troubles but making our day to day life more beautiful by Bhakti and Seva. For the very same reason P.P.Aniruddha Bapu has provided the 13 point progarmme which is a path not only to fill our life with Bhakti and Seva as an individual but also at the same time take our entire society to a dream of a perfect society.P.P.Bapu gave the 13 point programme to every Shraddhawan on 3rd October 2002.One of the major project among these was setting up Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management-AADM.AADM strives not only to teach the art of saving our and others lives in the times of disaster but also if possible to prevent disasters.
One major disaster that our world faces today is the fastly deteriorating environment of ours. This includes many causative factors the major one being the loss of plantation cover.Another problem that is fast incrementing is the deficient foodsupply .One of the major reason for the same is the loss of land under crops to ever increasing population and deteriorating quality of land already under cultivation due to the overuse of artifiscial fertilizers.Sighting these two problems AADM undertook the project of vermiculture under its wings.
The vermiculture project took shape in the year 2003. In a meeting of Committee members of AADM conducted by Param Pujya Bapu on 23rd July 2003,P.P.Aniruddha Bapu talking about the disasters said that any calamity on the social, environmental and personal front is a disaster. In order to overcome these disasters, Param Pujya Bapu advocated few projects of which vermiculture was one of the projects.

Aims and Objectives :
1,Working towards better environment
2.Production of vermicompost thru’ Vermiculture technology which can be put to effective use for-
i) Tree plantation project
ii)To supply the produce to the drought prone areas and to the needy farmers.
Mission of this project is to spread this technology to everyone willing to adopt this system and provide Consultancy and Supervision for the same along with hands-on training for the project on Free of Cost basis.
Spiritual Base of the project:The spiritual importance behind this project is that ‘Trees’ are considered as living immovable souls. By supplying them with good fertilizers and water, we are not only nurturing them but also trying to repay the obligation of Mother Earth in a small and righteous way.

Definition : Vermiculture means cultivation of earthworms.
Vermicompost : excreta of earthworms.
Vermicompost is one of the most effective and environment friendly fertilizers without any harmful side effects.
Mumbai at present faces a huge problem of garbage. Mumbai produces daily 6000-7000 tonnes of garbage of which household garbage forms a major chunck. Also due to limited land resource of Mumbai, Mumbai’s dumping ground are unable to take care of the whole of Mumbai’s garbage. Thus Mumbai’s garbage burden is now been put on Navi Mumbai and Thane. Also the dumping grounds themselves are big hazzard to the health of the citizens residing in the vicinity and also to the environment. And therefore looking for new dumping grounds will not only temporarily relieve us of our problem, there is a need for a proper and healthy way to efficiently dispose the garbage. That’s where vermiculture comes to pur help.
Earthworms eat cowdung and other solid wastes like household garbage and give out vermicompost. Muncipal waste and nontoxic solid and liquid waste can also be similarly converted to vermicompost. And the vermicompost so formed is niether hazaedous nor a waste but is one of excellent manure. Thus earthworms not only rid us of our major chunck of garbage but also provide us the manure. Therefore our beloved P.P.AniruddhaBapu had once said that there is no other organism as helpful to mankind as the earthworm. The project was first started at residence of volunteers who created vermiculture bins from household items and with initial seed of earthworms provided by the Academy.
Vermiculture project encompases two components.
a) Vermiculture undertaken on large scale basis such as in Cooperative Housing Societies.
b) Vermiculture on household basis.

The Basics for any vermiculture projects are
l 1. A living environment usually called “ bedding”
l 2. A food source
l 3. Adequate moisture
l 4.Adequate aeration
l 5. Protection from extreme temperature

1. Bedding : - Selection of proper bedding material is key element of success of project. Worms can be enormously productive (and reproductive) if conditions are good; however their efficiency drops if the basics are not meet.
2. Food source: - Compost worms are big eaters. Under the ideal conditions, they are able to consume in excess of their body weight each day, although the general thumb rule is ½ of their body weight per day.
3. Adequate Moisture : -The bedding used should be able to hold sufficient moisture if the worms are to have a livable environment. They breathe through their skin and so moisture content is very crucial for their existence.
4. Adequate aeration:- Worms are oxygen breathers and cannot survive anaerobic conditions. They operate best when ventilation is good and the material they are living is porous and well aerated.
5. Protection from extreme temperature: - The temperature control is essential for both vermicomposting and vermiculturing process.
The other important parameters are ph, salt content and proper shadow.

AADM conducted a large scale project of vermiculture at the Central Railway workshop (Mumbai) using there canteen and garden waste. This project was hugely appreciated by the local civil bodies as well as by the Corporate sector. The team which implemented this project now acts as a training team for setting up such projects on large scale as well as small scale (household) and upon request also offers consultation to various housing societies, public institutions, Corporate sectors, schools, colleges, etc. Consultancy is given till the period of first production cycle and the people concerned handling the project are trained by the Academy’s team.

Following is the list where AADM has conducted Vermiculture projects.
1.Bhavan’s college- Andheri- 26th Jan.’06
2.FDC-Jogeshwari 21st April ‘08
3.dil Ltd. Thane 22nd Feb ’06
4.Naval Dockyard – Colaba June’06
5.Central Railway Matunga workshop Nov.’06
6. SEBI 13th Oct.’07
6. Pearl Society- Vile parle July.’ 07
7.Cypress Society-Mulund 13th April’2008
At following places AADM conducted trainning sessions:
SEBI
Naval Dock – Colaba
Central Railway Workshop – Matunga
FDC Ltd. – Jogeshwari
Maharashtra Stete Bank
DIL Ltd. – Thane
Bhavans College – Andheri
IES School – Marol
Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya
Thane Mahanagar Palika School

Vermiculture can also be very useful in reducing our daily household garbage and providing us with a high quality manure which can be used for terrace gardening or can be given to the AADM which can then be distributed among the needy farmers or used for tree plantation projects undertaken all over Maharahtra by AADM.
Vermiculture project on a household basis requires a bucket, a nylon mesh, dried cowdung, hay and most importantly earthworm seed.Once the earthworm seed is released in the vermiculture bed ,the vermi bucket is ready to devour our household waste. After a period of two months we have to stop putting the wastes in the bucket for fifteen days. Within this fifteen days all the waste that we had put gets converted to manure. After this period the entire content is removed and put on a sheet of newspaper making a heap. The earthworms have a tendency to move away from light and they go deeper into the heap away from the surface. So we can slowly start collecting the upper layers of manure which are without the earthworms. By continuing this process we are left with little manure alongwith the earthworms. This are then put back into the buckets with a ready bed. Thus a new cycle can be started and the Vermiculture bucket is ready for use.
The Vermiculture bucket should be preferably kept in a dark cool area. The Vermiculture bucket does not give foul odour. In fact if one tries to smell the manure, it gives the smell of soil which has been wetted by first monsoon rains. At first one feels reluctant to touch the earthworms, but once familiar with their touch it is so fantastic to feel them move on slowly on our fingers shying away from light and finding a place to hide within our fingers. There is definitely a sense of attachment that develops within them. Thus rather than having a single pet we can have hundreds of such pets in the form of this Vermiculture bucket which neither demands a evening walk nor does it dirt your floor, but just ten minutes from your routine.

'Aniruddha's Bank for the Blind

Every human being has a bond to share with every other. This bond makes us reach out; hold a hand; and touch the heart. But then there are some, who rely on touch much more than others because they 'see' the world differently. They are special, differently abled. We refer here to our visually challenged kin. They struggle, they toil, but never lose heart. They study undeterred by the delay in getting text books in Braille, and by the lack of teachers. They strive to be independent in every sense.

'Aniruddha's Bank for the Blind', is an activity of the 'Aniruddha Samarpan Pathak', that is committed to this bond, by way of offering service to the blind. This bank was initiated by the grace and blessings of Dr. Aniruddha Joshi(M.D. - Med.), a well known Rheumatologist from Mumbai and fondly called 'Aniruddha Bapu' by millions of his followers. The 'bank' stores knowledge in the form of audio cassettes & cds that are based on curriculum of school, college and university study. The cassettes are given free of cost to the students. Recorded material includes courses on acupressure, massage, etc. conducted by 'National Association for the Blind' (NBA) as also technical courses like motor coil winding and lathe training, i.e. courses that will equip the visually challenged to become independent and lead
